Off to York today for the annual Christmas Ding Dong!

In town today and we're starting in York Tap. We have a pint and a half of Biscoff Porter.

In the House of Trembling Madness now and I'm having Anspach and Hobday London Black Nitro Porter. Jim is on the Are We Casting by Deya.
I also had a Cherry Wheat Beer in the first pub that I forgot to take a photo of.

Brew York now and I have an Iron Sky by Overtone. It's a nice beer but the alcohol is a bit too hot on this one. Jim has a Nightmare of Brew York 2024 and it tastes exactly like Stroopwafel as per the description. Highly recommended! Getting that next!

Taking a break from Christmas decs and an American red seemed suitable…
Bottled this in March and largely forgot about it.
Hard to get a decent picture without moving my backside, but it’s a great ruby colour (even if the head retention is awful!)

In the lodge and the hatches are battened down. Starting with a Fursty Ferret. Not bad as it has a combination of sweet maltiness with a touch of bitterness.

Last one was a few minutes ago so not guzzling! This one is a souvenir from Scotland. A summer ale but we can dream!
Back from our travels, and a welcome 1st proper taste of the 6 week old Kent Golden ale using my own First Gold hops in all the later stages of the brew.
Gorgeous rich and golden hop and malt combination.
It's good to be home.

Enjoying a West Indies Porter after a late Sunday brew day in the shed while the wind and rain blows outside.
