My uncle Billy worked there, when i was a kid way back in the early 60s my first taste of ale was sam smiths when we went to visit him in Taddy

Sam Smith's from Tadcaster, that takes me back. I used to live in York and I used to ride my bike to Taddy and back when it was a nice day/evening. Our local was the Tankard at Rufforth.
 
Interesting. I spotted that in Waitrose earlier (posh or what ? We were trooping round every supermarket in the area to find some cranberry juice). I hesitated because it was three quid. Glad I passed.

It's usually very good and one of my favourites. I find that every now and then a batch will have heightened sulphur levels to my nose, beyond a level I personally find enjoyable.
