Nice!
On the bread **** front did you manage to pick up some of the 70 year old Polish sourdough starter from Yellow Door this year?
#SlightlyOffTopic
No, I missed that. I did meet the Chef from the Yellow Door earlier this year and we talked about baking and bread.
He didn’t offer me any tips or free starter but!

I can't remember what the occasion was, national bread day or some such event, but they gave it away to anyone that wanted it. You can have some of ours if you want it although we have been feeding it for about a year so it will have change a wee bit from the Yellow Door version.

I have some proper research beers today :

Fullers ESB. Never knowingly had this before, I get green apple from it which I don’t enjoy, overall find it cloying. Not for me.

Good chemistry “Extra special” from the Malt Miller. Overall impression is of a porter with dry finish. It’s 48 ibu apparently but I wouldn’t have guessed. I like it overall, but is it even esb?

Broken into the Christmas stinky cheese selection and started with this Gulden Draak quad to accompany. Then will move onto a St Bernadus abt 12. If I'm still alive (or not in a cheese coma) I have a Duchesse Chocolate Cherry to finish.

Merry Christmas!!!

Over did it down the pub last night.

Only way to get over it is to get back down there.

This was first up, a pale from Salopian, not great to be honest, moved onto Guinnness
