I'm on holiday so I thought I'd treat myself to one of my favourites 😍

Out in Dublin tonight, staying in the fun part for once and I don’t have proper work to do tomorrow so time to take in some of the city’s highlights.

First up, Bowes on Fleet St, Guinness Guru score of 9.2. Distinctly average.

Next one, post restaurant. Doyle’s next door. No Guinness Guru score, but a significant improvement on the first pint.

Last pint, back at the Trinity City Hotel. Easily the best of the three.

It’s funny how temperamental the same drink can be in three different establishments all within a well struck 5-iron of each other 🤷‍♂️

Good evening good people, this winged it’s way over the Atlantic today from Florida in my daughters case, my o my what a beer 6 hops 65 ibu’s it is a full on slap round the chops jobby and at 7.5% not to be taken lightly a proper seriously good beer View attachment 92077
Hats off, Jai Alai was the high point off two separate Florida holidays for me. Cigar City make fantastic beer and that’s the flagship.

Edit. The search function turned this up for me. Well done HBF 👏

What are you drinking tonight 2022?

This is my last pint south of the border until next week. Had a fabulous time at the Vascular Society’s trainee day. I got to talk about how to do venous ultrasound properly which gave me opportunity to make lots of Knob jokes. It might be the first and last invite they extend 🤔

Do you have the recipe? Trying to get into fruit beers ( did a search but couldn't find a thread)
No I was making a Saison and we had some fruit in the freezer, so thought what could I use, in the mean time my wife used it for jam 😀 so she had the idea of getting some cranberries as it was festive. Chucked a kilo and a half for the last few days. Next time I’ll put them in muslin or the like as it was a nightmare to get out of the fermenter had to get a tube and do the sucky thing.
