Evening all,
Late to the party, as I was transferring the most recent Exmoor Gold clone with my externalised Hopcat pump, from the fermentation/conditioning to the serving casks.
The FG measurement and qc sample was very tasty.
Much less obviously bitter than the previous batch (a mistake).
btw, the FG reading was taken earlier when the hydrometer was not touching the side!

Drinking a HB Blackberry Wheat Ale. 3kg Lager Malt, 2kg Wheat Malt, 20g of Pilgrim, and Wyeast 1010 American Wheat yeast. Used 1.2kg of blackberries picked by myself and my daughter from the brambles in August and used them in secondary. Packaged about 23 litres at 5.4% ABV.

Tastes good, but tart. Might use a more flocculant yeast and a bit of crystal malt next time.

And it is! Still with that floor malted Maris Otter richness follow-on, thank goodness as it needs it.
In the background are the 11 and 6 litres of tonight's casked Exmoor Gold. Ready to go out to the garage to chill and clear.
