Broadside cask is 4.7% but bottled is 6.3% they must be vastly different beers 🤔
Broadside was my first introduction to real ale. I vaguely recall the cask version used to be stronger, more in line with the bottled version. There is a big difference in bottle vs cask. It is a stunningly good beer in the bottle. Even though my tastes have moved on from real ale, this mc'ewans champion and fullers 1645 are still great brews.

Sainsbury's have their winter range out now. Their winter warmer was lovely last year. This year it's from a different brewer (Badger) but has the same lovely berry amd stewed plum character.

How was it? I saw it in Sainsburys but decided to pass - I’ve fallen foul of too many winter warmers in the past!

Just got home from Musket Brewery. I like a couple of their beers so had to go to the tap room and try them. Really nice people, friendly and sociable. The beers were great and I brought a couple of 6-packs home.

Enjoying one of these right now. The cans have a QR code that take you to a video of the beer being brewed. Nice touch.
