Double pour for me again tonight. English ipa and a porter type thingy , the ipa is going perfect with the spice bag from the local Chinese while the porter warms a bit

I have 15L of a rich, heavy 6.3% Oatmeal Stout that is about ready for drinking, unfortunately I am still doing dry January (now I’m into the final weekend it would be a shame to give up) so a Guinness Zero.

It‘s certainly one of the better alcohol free beers, not overly thin, nice flavour a little lactic acid it’s really not that bad, but yes I’m looking forward to next week when I can have an actual stout.

It’s not that bad but it’s not Guinness drank it one night I was out but driving and it is only good for 3 pints max then I got fed up with it. Has that thin taste to it but it’s one of the better af beers.

I think the best non alcoholic beer I had was Nøgne ø Svart/Hvit a non alcoholic milk stout, which actually seemed to have a decent mouth feel, I suspect the lactose helped with this, but as with most milk stouts one was nice but I couldn’t drink multiple pints of the stuff.

Planet of Ice IPA kindly sent me by @Stu's Brews.
Well carbed, light foamy head that lasted down the glass.
Slightly hazy with lush tropical fruitiness, balanced by bitterness from
Citra and Nelson Sauvin.
Just the sort of thing I like to brew and drink, I think this would also work well with Verdant yeast.
Thanks for sharing !

I’ve been wanting to have another try of my Rye IPA. You can see it’s nice and clear now and the aroma is still fruity and spicy. The flavour though has changed a little. The initial fruitiness becomes a little more floral and the spicy rye now has an accompanying rye graininess. The whole thing has become a little more sweet until the bitterness takes over at the finish.

Happy Friday folks 😀
Just landed up the north coast and I’m having a Session IPA from Farmegeddon, one of my favourite local brewery’s. I’ve sent a tin of this to @dave_77 with my January comp attempt. Not as a second entry or a bribe. It’s to give him something to clear the palate after tasting my beer!

First cricket nets session tonight. Summer starts here!

Home now to see Bath get steamrollered by Sale on TV.

1. Budvar. Clean. Fine.
2. My Talus Single Hop. Enjoying this one.
3. Meantime Anytime IPA. Decent if a bit thin and unmemorable.

My Porter warming up having been dragged from the cellar.
