Is that the shop with the giant bottle of whisky? Or did have dhen I went I there nearly 20 years ago.
Went into the shop and there wasn't a shop keeper to be seen..my mate marvelled at the giant whisky bottle and we conferred as to whether it was real...at which I tested the reality of the bottle by dinging my wedding ring on it a few times.. this brought a distraught looking shop keeper out the back like Mr. Ben who kindly asked me not to "do that!".

At the moment it’s a giant whisky glass. The current owners aren’t shy on giving tastings.

A little taste of my 6.5% spruce beer to check that it’s competition ready

Nicely carbonated, fluffy long-lasting head, hazy golden colour, very clean citrusy pine aroma, fresh citrusy flavour with medium bitterness fading to a more prominent pine finish. I think this is ready.

Check the date on the cans, if you get a fresh one they lean more to grapefruit and citrus then after a month of so they definitely go malty and piney. It's interesting how much they change.

Just passed the 3 month mark. I’ll look out for younger next time.

I won’t bore you with the same picture, but I’m having what I had yesterday, the lime, mint and coconut wine stuff.

I’m looking forward to the weekend, as I’m brewing a neipa. Wish me luck . And it’ll be nice and quiet as the lad has gone to his brothers house tonight and they’re both off to Kendal tomorrow with their girlfriends - so nearly a week of peace and quiet!

AIPA with the fruitiness and bitterness you’d expect. Nice counterpoint to the English Bitter.

Just finished cleaning a few kegs and beer lines ready for kegging 2 brews at the weekend. Found a few bottles of porter from early January on the garage. Poor head retention but lovely beer.

My "under attenuated" hefeweizen. I believe that it hadn't finished fermenting by the time I bottled it (at 1.020). 2 bottles exploded in the garage during the heatwave. At least it's got a good enough level of carbonation in it!

Pale Ale now. Less bitter and less hoppy than the AIPA but having it’s own hoppy character.

Having a tasty raspberry sour from @dan125 . Has a mellow raspberry aroma and definitely lots of raspberry in the flavour with a tart to light sour mouthfeel. Easy drinking for 5.8%. definitely a nice summer brew

A beer to turn the brain off..WC IPA 6.6% strata, Amarillo & Ahtanum.

Covid cleared now so I'm on a Dark Rock Citra brewed with Kveik. It took 2.5 days to ferment out, cold crashed for 3 days and kegged on Friday. It tasted raw/green on Sunday and Monday but is lovely today.

I'm only drinking the excess above 19L - the full keg will be left for a few more weeks so I have high hopes for it.

Edit - The picture makes it look far darker than it is. It's fairly pale with decent clarity.
