Mk II Summit IPA.

This version has a small amount of both light and medium crystal and the 5 min hop changed from Northern Brewer to Fuggles.

Not sure the hop swap works but I like the touch of crystal. Might try EKG next time.

Not clearing very well; didn't use any finings in the FV this time.

Maybe a blend of Fuggles and EKG - winning formula ;)

I would normally agree, but that earthy, herby Fuggles taste is jarring a bit with the Summit in a way Northern Brewer didn't. Hard to explain - I think I'd better have another one to help me elaborate. acheers.

Posted this on the American site also. It's a limited edition beer with hazelnut. It's really good and a hint sweet which is a nice twist. Too pricey to have all the time.
Hogarth gave it the stamp of approval which you can tell by his cheerful demeanor.
What did Moose think?

(It’s his view we all hang on ;) )

I've been looking for a decent clone recipe for Dark Island for years. I tried a few - none came anywhere near the original. It's one of my wife's favourites
I’ve got a couple of bottles of their special reserve which I’m looking forward to trying soon.
