I've just done that one today with the only change being the yeast. I had the m66 hophead yeast in the fridge that in thought I would try this time. Hopefully doesn't spoil itHaving a pint of citra and simcoe pale tonight. Not many left in the keg but trying a double brew weekend so do this again and something else on Sunday if I get the chance. Pikelets.Definitely an “age thing” and the beer started before my two “pikelets” * for lunch.
At 79, gone are the days when me and a mate could get through a litre of Grouse each as we sorted out the world and watched the sun come up!
Lucky? You bet! Especially as I only gave up smoking after SWMBO said “Smoke or eat - your choice!” Here’s hoping she doesn’t start on the beer drinking!
* Now called “crumpets” for some reason.
Must try that one. My previous ones were done with us-05 and loved them. I had the m66 for a while and wanted to use it up.Doing it tomorrow again sticking with Bry 97 as I like it lol
Bry97 lets all the malts and hops shine through. And leaves a lovely mouthfeel as well. It’s a good neutral yeast.Must try that one. My previous ones were done with us-05 and loved them. I had the m66 for a while and wanted to use it up.
