Road testing the tweaked Irish Red recipe. Needs a bit more carb. I’ll send a few bottles out for second opinions next weekend once it’s got it’s fizz on.

@samale porter next.

After mopping up the work top and safely pouring I'm really enjoying it. 🙄

Pours quite dramatically but settles quick and head dissipates by half way down the glass. Malty aroma, lots of nuttiness which I like. Very dark, more dark than a porter should be perhaps, who cares though. It's really chocolatey, slight roastiness and little hints of licorice. Quite sweet, otherwise I think the malt overshadows any yeast or hop flavour. Medium bodied. Overall, I love it. Although it leapt out of the bottle it's not over carbed but i would look at head retention to improve it? Cheers!

Ah bugger, thought I'd taken a pic but it obviously didnt take...

On to my porter @pilgrimhudd I must of sent you the last bottle of that batch. Sorry 😞
This is nice but as pointed out it needs a bit of head retention. It also pours fizzy but it's not over carbonated,not sure what's going on with that

Thursday nights are pub nights for me, so just a parsnip and one of those Small Giant IPAs from Stewarts in Lidl. A very good beer for the money, I think.

Just having a couple of speckled hens, a mate gave me some Brewdog cans earlier as a swap for eggs, so will give them a go when I get back.
Lots of people seem to like trying loads of different bought beer, I often don't post as it's me drinking Smash again Lol
