I've started this as quite a lot of us post in what did you brew today.
But 6 weeks later how did it turn out.
I think we should fill it with stories of thing that turned out differently to expectations in both good & bad ways.

So I'm going to start and say what I hoped was going to be a dark wheat beer has turned out more like a slightly dark mild.
I may have to revisit choice of yeast & fermentation temperature.

Ah! Great idea! I'll comment on having a few kits chucked into my schedule to boost supplies. I've brewed 3 of the Simply kits so far. Two pale and a bitter. The bitter got a celeia dry hop and one pale a chinook dry hop,the other pale is still in the fv. All done with a kilo of dry malt..so dead quick and easy.
At the moment I'm drinking the Bitter. It was fermented for 2 weeks with CML Midland then kegged at 10psi in my new oxebar keg for a week before sampling.
Well...its most acceptable! It's got chill haze from the cold garage but clears nicely after warming a bit. It's got good head retention and glass lacing. Taste wise it's a nice ,easy drinking bitter. As good as your average pub pint if not better, with no off flavours at all!
All in all I'm pleasantly surprised.
Would I do it again as part of my brew routine? Definitely yes!

I lobbed a jar of Marmalade in half a corny of IPA. Came out marvellous a few weeks later.

This might seem bonkers till I say I have a quality of Marmalade to use up 👍
