I was bought a rather nice selection of beers by the OH for us to try - this is a lot darker than anything I’m used to drinking . It is interesting and I haven’t quite worked out yet whether I like porters, this one is definitely ’Brambley’ which is nice. Not a beer that makes me think wow I’d like to make it.

Should have said I need the tap. Not the keg mine was brewed a few weeks ago now. Won’t be ready yet but I am looking to get a sneaky taste. It’s a great hop paring.

This is my 2nd of the same brew as my last attempt had some dodgy water profile mess up that left it tasting “salty” hopefully this one is better

100g in the whirlpool (quite a hot one) and 100g in the dry hop.

Can't really afford more than that although I would have liked to.

I didn’t bother with a dry hop just put a good lump in a hop stand.

@samale Belgian Pale Ale, nice refreshing pale ale, very grapefruity, little aroma but big on taste, bit lip puckeringly bitter for me but it suits it nicely. If I was sat outside on a sunny day I think I'd enjoy it even more. Thanks for sharing!

I didn’t bother with a dry hop just put a good lump in a hop stand.

No, I think it's a waste. The boil just kills the flavour. It's getting about 32 IBU from a 90c hopstand.

Is this the one our of the Greg Hughes book ? If so it's becoming one of my favourites. I've a different one in the fermenter at the minute with citra, centennial and chinook

I think it is based on his but I changed it a bit I think. I normally do
