Not a lot of choice at this pub (grandchildrens choice, we’re taking them out for lunch) so I’m having the one beer on offer GK IPA. At least it’s in good condition.

First drink of the day to share. Mango and guava 'Piñata' by North Brewing.

Hofbräu Winterzwickl and Unbarred Old Ale.

Both takeaway (well delivered) in 1l bottle "growlers" edit - from Hop Stop in Reigate.

I’m starting with a beer from No Frills Joe while watching Phantom of the Open. It’s like Eddie the Eagle and also based on a true story - Maurice Flintcroft enters the British Open having never played a round of golf!

This is a weak AG bitter based on Cartmel Peninsula. Not bad but I succeeded a little too well in copying the weak aspect probably by allowing the mash to get too hot and killiing off

enzymes. It'll do when a few are in order!

Starting with a lager from No Frills Joe, quick refresher after a rather pleasant shopping experience in Sainsbury's. Some shops are well organised...others let's just say it's a **** show...If they did awards for the the supermarket in Gravesend...year after year Asda would win it..

Possibly. Says brewed in Kildare. Pretty average beer to be honest. Nothing inspiring
