Was tasting the three lager samplers. None were very good, wonder if northern Brewer and cascade don't go well together.

First pour from one of my two 5L kegs of Golden Ale. Possibly a couple of months in the keg and it's tasting so much better than the bottled version (which already pretty decent!). This keg will be replaced with the other full one pretty soon!

This is definitely one to do for the summer - very clean, crisp and refreshing.

Now one from Scotland. In the 60s a mentol cigarette was adverised as being "As cool as a mountain stream" and there is something of that about this which is very clean somehow and suitably chilled.

Picked this as I've yet to brew with Kweik, Nordland tropical IPA with Galaxy and Mosaic from Dark Star.
Hazy citrus bitterness with some tropical fruit

- thumbs up from me.

Busy today and am a bit late with dinner - roast topside beef with roast onions and dauphinois potatoes - first time I’ve done these since I injured my thumb in the mandolin making them earlier this year. So the beer had to wait till after all the slicing!
My blackcurrant and honey sour - a can of which I also gave to a fellow member here who picked up some crates I was selling on.

This Croatian Pilsner from Medvedgrad Brewery, Zagreb was BBE 04.05.'22.
A good preprandial before roast pork with this Rhone red.

It still looks darker than just base malt, kind of like pilsner urquell. Maybe they are decorating as well. I read they may add a touch of roast for the colour.
