Had the Brewdog advent..Elvis juice. A packet of pork scratchings means I should try another beer. Further extrapolations with the American amber methinks.

Dry hopped citra wheat beer from a recipe by @Jim Brewster. Kegged on Friday and burst carbed. I’m getting more wheat malt on the nose than citra but it’s there in the background. Carbonation level is spot on (48hrs at 25psi), but the head dissipated fairly quickly as you’d expect with the short conditioning time. There’s a tonne of clovey esters and fruity phenols in perfect balance and the citra is sitting in the background. I should have kept better notes when I drank Jim’s, but from memory the hop stood out a bit more than in my brew. It’s a great beer, thanks Jim. I’ll get a bottle off in the post to you so you can see what you think of my efforts.

It was good for kids (young and old) that like trains, and lights! Everyone also had the opportunity to climb up into the engine and get a talk about all the controls, have a look at the fire, ask questions, etc.

Opened a delightful Summer Breeze by Les at Hazelwood very nice it is too.

A question for peeps that bottle off the keg, do you add more priming sugar to the bottles?

I indirectly thank you, Rod, and here's why:
I didn't remember if "Wilko" was a brand name of beer or a store or both. So I go to the UK site (which was suspicious of my interest in it and so I had to pass tests to prove I was human--I am).
Now I'm on the store website, scan over the selection of beer kits (nice). Still curious about the store, I search "Cats" and find they sell toys. They have this wiggly fish that seems awesome.
Since I wouldn't have one shipped from there, I check around here for one and they do have it.
It would seem my cats will love it.

It used to be a DIY ish kind of store called 'Wilkinson', but it changed its name to Wilko for some random reason. There'll be some nerd who knows why lol

Back from my trip to Guernsey. Had some interesting beers, sadly not many on draught. Got straight into bottling the MM Leffe AG kit I did 3 weeks ago and had a West Coast IPA whilst doing it, was awesome. Then came home and remembered the Two Hearted AG which should be "just" ready to try. Holy Crap on a Cracker! It's fantastic! Such a satisfying feeling that, to me, my beer is as good or even better than anything I can buy.

Oh and I have to say it's all thanks to the help you have all given me.
But I do have a bitter that's been in the FV for a month and won't stop bubbling and a Cali that has mould on. But that's tomorrows question.

I have done until now but subject to some testing over the next day or two I may stop. If that’s how the beer poured from the bottle I think the bottle must have allowed the pressure to escape.

I'm wondering how mine will be received as I haven't added sugar either, I had assumed that off the keg the carbonation would be adequate?
You can let me know when yours arrives.
Just sampling your sour now and it's very good, good enough to tempt me to have a go myself, very different to the last one I tried.

I spent this afternoon and the early part of this evening replacing a central heating radiator for my youngest daughter after the old one rusted through and soaked the carpet. The old one also had no thermostatic valve and she wanted one fitted so that required changes in pipework which meant draining the system. Anyway, job done now so I reckon I deserve this. Cheers!
