I'm not happy at the moment...2nd beer is one of mine and I'm not happy. My Mosiac and Blanc pale has not been socially distancing from O2 by the looks of it..

Just after kegging this beer I fitted some new secondary regulators. The night after I came back to check on them and the pressure was at zero on this keg( I hadn't figured out how far to tighten the valve). So I can only think that the seal dropped enough to let O2 in when I crashed the temp to carbonate.
I have ditched one beer in the past and probably one that should have been poured(Mrs muntons @dan125), once the flavour goes completely I think this is on its way...ugly😭
Looks nothing like the bottle I had. Such a shame

Very chuffed with this.

Suggestion is a powerful thing - it's a Josh Weikert "Make Your Best..." recipe so if I go by what he wrote then yeah I do get some lime zestiness from the Motueka hops and something like corn tortilla in the finish from the flaked maize.

More than that, I always get chill haze in my beers - but this is really clear from the get go (it's also really not vegan either!). I used some Harris Starbrite and then gelatin during the cold crash which seems to have done the job.

It's super drinkable too, which is fine as it's only 3.6% ABV but still enough there to keep it interesting and not at all thin and watery. This is gonna be great once the weather warms up as a lawnmower beer or by the BBQ, I just have my doubts that they'll last that long!

Happy Friday
First beer of the night is @pilgrimhudd fig stout 6%
Appearance: thick black with a nice head which fades.
Aroma: This is good, roast malt, sweetness. It has an almost Belgian aroma. Dark stone fruit
Flavour: sweet dark fruit followed by lovely roast malt and coffee. Full bodied with medium to low bitterness. Again it has a Belgian quality to it. It's got a slight oiliness that I would get of an imperial stout.
Over all this is a cracking beer, I would go as far to say the best you have sent me. The aroma is fantastic and the flavour matches it.
Thank you for sending this, really interesting and enjoyable beer 👌

Ha, hilarious, you and @matt76 both liked it and I'm not that keen! 🤣

I bought a few beers. My new Friday treat for myself. I buy 5 beers in 500ml bottles as a beer tasting experience and a bottle collection project.
Tonight’s main experiment was to see if my 2nd brew, a Coopers Hefe Wheat kit would stand up to a commercial offering. And yes, yes it does. I actually genuinely can’t tell the difference. Success.

It's actually a milk stout so it's on the sweet side. It's nice something different. Coffee and sort of grainy. Hides the abv well
