Saison's greetings!
Nice bready malt backbone with loads of orange citrus and peppery spice coming through in this one. I really need to start drinking more Belgian beers.

Wanted a change, so a a pale ale made in May using Admiral, First Gold and EKGs.
Honey, piney resin then..... ?Smoke.
The cedariness certainly grabs your attention.
One to drink in a log cabin in front of a seasoned log open fire after a day out in the snow.
They could have done with this at the Tan Hill Inn last week.

@samale I cashed out of Beer52 last month. I had enough loyalty points to get a case of their beers for the cost of postage. I went Belgian.
No.2 is a different beast. Still standard strength, higher carbonation, drier finish. More orange yeast eaters, spice character is less than the first one but still very present. All in all, a better balanced beer and well suited to my Belgian naive palate. I expect the more seasoned drinker would have preferred the first one.
I've got a couple of wits and dubbles to look forward to over the next week or so.

A firm favourite of mine and a really well balanced beer. Hoppy citrusy bitter and lightly malty. Cleanse the pallet before going onto the black beers. View attachment 58703
Have never seen that one. The off licence only stocks rustbucket, scraggy bay and the other one with the blue label that is quite offensive 😄

Belgian beers would be my first choice at the minute. Problem is most are high on the abv so you have to go easy 👍

Lime burner (the blue one) nice pale ale but not for me. It’s for the entry level craft beer drinkers.
crossroads is their American ipa and it’s a cracker. 6.2% seek it out
