Sunny days like today are made for sitting out with a Summer Breeze  😋

No but I can do. It's on my work pc so I will try and remember on Monday. It's essentially a ramped up founders breakfast stout, with bourbon and oak chips. There is an excellent founders breakfast stout recipe on the byo website. And I got the KBS recipe from the American homebrewers association website.
Founder's do a lovely porter as well

First of 2 from @DocAnna
A level 2 Festbier. Look how clear it is.... Superb.

Flavourwise, once again right in my wheelhouse. Lager with enough malty character from some Vienna and Crystal to give it colour and backbone and make it just a little bit more interesting than what probably would otherwise been a veey similar result to my own Helles (given its Mittelfruh hops and CML Hell) except that the clarity and flavour points to a much more robust lagering process than my own. Another excellent beer from Anna, but the reason for all of the beer swaps with her is up next.... The imperial stout 👍

And heres Annas Imperial stout. She was good enough to review my own stout recently and told me it was a bit thin, which I agreed with and is something I am going to have work on re mash temperature. Anyway, I have been provided with a perfect exampke of how it should be. Pours and drinks thicker than Harry Kane. Lovely roast flavours with no astringency, coffee and burnt sugar, low carbonation which is just right for me (and will chin Anna for carb levels for my next stout)

Now I do know you were worried about the whisky levels Anna which is why I left it this long from when you gave me it. Clearly I dont know if they have mellowed, but they are right there in terms of flavour along with the oak, but theres no raw alcohol burn. Given what you said before about it, and the high abv of the stout itself, id say there must have been a mellowing.

Hugely glad I got in touch with you regarding this stout, because it has resulted in me trying way more hits than misses from you but especially this stout from which I hope to learn a lot.

Finally finished shopping and can start the weekend! Hubby is off work all next week so looking forward to spending some time with him. I’ve found this in the shop which looked interesting! It’s so good! Forgive the girly nature of the drink 🙈

as long as you're not supervising a list of jobs to do on his week off and keeping him supplied with booze, that will be a long lasting relationship

Yeah as I said, a lot more hits than misses from Anna. Shes a very, very good brewer. Selfishly, great for me to have someone local enough to make it handy to meet up and swap, and also to learn from.

@Rodcx500z I am heading over end of October for a Richard Ashcroft concert. Hopefully I get a ticket for the Brighton Game as well but it's not easy at the min.
I must ask on the forum for some craft bars to visit. Love lane is one of one's I want to visit. I would love someone to recommend some bars I can try proper cask beer.
