Spoilt
Definitely not getting any toffee, maybe some sugar cookie. I have never noticed how yeasty these are and how much it reminds me of london ale 3. I get a lot of grapefruit, grass and light floral and the bitterness is nice and harsh, like centennial should be.
Not seen it yet but will be sure to give it a tryHave you tried little sumpin ale yet? It's even better.
Liked this so much on weekend when it was last one on the shelf, I stopped and picked up 4 more on way home tonight for the match - England showing some spark at last !View attachment 49510
I would like to say they were better before heinekin got their hands on them but they are still a great version of a west coast ipa. Very quaffable.I was sure I'd seen those in my corner shop, and tried it and not thought much of it, but in the face of repeated praise here, I reckon I'll go back and have another look. Betcha they haven't still got it now, after all that!
I’m not sure if I have actually ever seen Wherry in the wild (even though I’m pretty certain it’s the beer kit a high proportion of people started in) how actually is it?Busy day yesterday - swimming in our holiday home pool, a trip to a farm, a boat trip on the broads, and meeting up with some family in a pub for the evening.
The boat had a bar - result! Interesting talk too but one of the highlights was passing a Wherry under sail. Apparently there are only eight left in the world and five are in Norfolk.

Of course, after that I had to finish the evening with a few pints of Wherry.

I’ll make some notes next time I have one, it’s available quite widely in Norfolk.I’m not sure if I have actually ever seen Wherry in the wild (even though I’m pretty certain it’s the beer kit a high proportion of people started in) how actually is it?
Couldn't agree more. Mowed the lawn first thing; quick trip to the farm ship for some saussies, then fired up the BBQ and been sitting outside under the awning sampling (a) Yorkshire bitter; (b) Ruby Mild and (c) Boho Pils --- Mmmmmmmmmm. ZZZzzzzzzzzzzThe day just got better View attachment 49384
I have a Saison fermenting using only hallertau blanc. I will probably give it a light dry hop as well.Started the night sort of with my last bottle of Taras Boulba....then knocked over my glass and lost 80% of it

Then had second sample of my Lemondrop Saison, im liking this one. I think lemondrop works better than sorachi ace in a Saison not as powerful so doesn't overpower the yeast flavours.

Now one of my American Brown's hopped with Galena & Simcoe

Is that in tribute to Gary Moore by any chance?Quite possibly the last glass from my keg of "Out in the fields" Saison. Crystal clear, dry, smooth and very drinkable at 7%. I'm surprised it lasted until now
