Just bottled my attempt tonight. 3 weeks in the fermentor. I couldn't get a chance to bottle. On to my Belgian Pale(Taras Boulba clone MK1) . Definitely tasting better after 40 days. Crisper and less muddled
I have the ingredients and amended recipe for MK2...

If thatโs the kind of fantasies you harbour when you see a bath then go for it I donโt mind being someoneโs guilty pleasure. There is room in there for big @Donegal john

I need to start planning better. I will probably order another 2 kegs. That will give me 4 taps. I plan to keep the taps for fast turnover beers. All my Belgian and imperial beers will still be bottledI bought 12. They still run dry
That's why I do 28l of each brew now.4 weeks it lasted. I think I need more kegs
Chores all done so time for a bit of โmeโ time with a guest ale from @Benfleet Brewery. I donโt know anything about this beer except that itโs a bottle conditioned NEIPA and looks lovely.
Being bottle conditioned I poured the ale slowly and carefully leaving a little in the bottle. Carbonation is good, the almost white head persisted, the colour is a gorgeous juicy orange and as you can see the beer is very hazy as youโd expect for a NEIPA.

The aroma is a really inviting with caramelised pineapple, zingy grapefruit citrus, and a touch of orange. Iโm not waiting any longer...
Wow, punched in the face by those bright flavours The grapefruit zing and pith is emphasised by a little bitterness and Iโd say grapefruit is the dominant flavour but itโs ably supported by the orange and pineapple. A little sweetness helps makes the fruity flavours more juicy. The mouthfeel is smooth and the soft fizzy bubbles excite your tongue. From the slight tackiness on my lips I can tell this ale must have finished with a fairly high gravity. There are no off-flavours at all and the finish is long-lasting with that grapefruit and a touch of pith lasting well over a minute.
This ale is up there with some of the better commercial NEIPAs Iโve had. Bravo!
Wow Cushy i could eat them on my own enjoyIt's been a busy week socialising, walking, and exploring on Anglesey and now back home with family visitors having a BBQ. My neighbour dropped off a couple of trout after a recent fishing trip, so why not get 'em on the barbie?
Cashmere and Azacca APA fulfilling the mandatory BBQ beer role.
