I'm glad you enjoyed the Timothy Taylor Landlord clone @dave_77 . I still think it's not quite ready yet, still a little fruitier than it should be, but it's getting there.
So my bottling technique from the keg probably needs a bit of practice, but I'm glad it wasn't too carbonated.

I think the Saison is a better beer.
Sorry...yes landlord...I have had that more recently 😂. The saison is a little stronger, trying to pick the right moment to have that one..

Another bottle of Orval..

I will drink to that. Good shift put in today in the garden. Had a few Neipa to easy the way. Now on to my last bottle of doppelbock 👌
This won the monthly competition and I have to say it's really good. Definitely something I will brew again.

Yep. Been practicing my words all day. And it’s a real book with a story and all with NO pictures. But it’s not a cook book like yours I’m a long way off that 😂😂
I don't believe it. A man of your age on the drink all weekend. Apparently you were on the job as well in the hotel. Your lucky your walking straight😉

Chores all done so time for a bit of “me” time with a guest ale from @Benfleet Brewery. I don’t know anything about this beer except that it’s a bottle conditioned NEIPA and looks lovely.

Being bottle conditioned I poured the ale slowly and carefully leaving a little in the bottle. Carbonation is good, the almost white head persisted, the colour is a gorgeous juicy orange and as you can see the beer is very hazy as you’d expect for a NEIPA.

The aroma is a really inviting with caramelised pineapple, zingy grapefruit citrus, and a touch of orange. I’m not waiting any longer...

Wow, punched in the face by those bright flavours 🥳 The grapefruit zing and pith is emphasised by a little bitterness and I’d say grapefruit is the dominant flavour but it’s ably supported by the orange and pineapple. A little sweetness helps makes the fruity flavours more juicy. The mouthfeel is smooth and the soft fizzy bubbles excite your tongue. From the slight tackiness on my lips I can tell this ale must have finished with a fairly high gravity. There are no off-flavours at all and the finish is long-lasting with that grapefruit and a touch of pith lasting well over a minute.

This ale is up there with some of the better commercial NEIPAs I’ve had. Bravo! 👏👏👏
