That’s a nice looking pint, I want one. I don’t quite have the head but I do have a stout nonetheless. 😋

That looks nice hb
It’s been a while since I had a pint of Guiness so I had another. Seems quite hard to get a pint of craft in city centre Belfast so it seems Guiness is the best choice for today

Having a Guiness in the sun while I google craft beer bars near me for the next one. View attachment 48387

Nice - assuming there is not an hour time difference with Ireland that's a good early start. For my part I managed to sneak over Red Lion for the cricket just before noon and see off 3 pints of neck oil before a trip to the oriental fusion restaurant for a 660ml bottle of Singha and a glass of white. Then dropped in a pub on the way back to the office for a quick slash and a pint of Camden Pale. Currently got my office door shut whilst I recalibrate ahead of taking the team out at 5pm.

You sound like a great boss! I have a victorian workhouse master...still,not seeing him for a year is a bonus.

Inspired by H's brewshed splendour I've decided to look at cooling my pb full of esb which felt a little warm.
After much musings and heavy thinking I decided to start simple...I chucked two wet towels over it!
I can report after a couple of hours it's drinkable.
The glass is a holiday memoir from Norfolk..which was gifted by the pub as they could see how much I liked it...

Yes this pesky hot weather. I got home to brewshed last evening to find Pilsner, left over Christmas bitter, dry stout and raspberry wheat all at 3 degrees Celsius whereas everything not in the keezer was sat in 36C ambient. Have ordered some thermal film winfow stuff to block out the suns infra red...

I’m starting tonight (afternoon beers don’t count ) with a 6.5% Belgian Single from @samale

The beer is a lovely golden colour tinged with an orange hue and almost clear, carbonation is fairly soft. The head dissipated quickly but could be roused again by swirling the beer.

The aroma is typically Belgian and there’s a soft mildly toffee aroma. I think I’m picking up a little hoppiness too.

The flavour is again typically Belgian but is quite light and refreshing with no clue of the strength. Bitterness is mild and more evident in the finish which is quite dry making the beer easy drinking.

We are on gmt here as well mate and when on “holiday” time has no bearing on drinking especially when the sun is out. 😜
