Second half of a bottle of cider (rest was used for the pork) then a couple of pilsner whilst cooking dinner. A very enjoyable red went with the food this evening.

Had a little sample earlier whilst kegging my American pale with Mosiac & Hallertau Blanc. Tastes promising out of the fermenter.

I would never of thought to pair them two hops. Mosiac is a big hitter

I had Turtles all the way down by Duration last year and I think it was one of the best beers I had last year, so thought I would give the the hop combo a go myself.

Having the turtles can be a worrying time .. especially if the services are 100 miles away.

Bottled an Ordinary Bitter this arvo, a little taster and happy with it.

A Saison I bottled pre Christmas used Gladfield ale malt 60% and Gladfield winter wheat 40%. To try and keep it more authentic used French Mistral Hops for bittering and aroma. Turned out better than expected, a little cloudiness I would put down to the wheat. I must say this hop is not to bad, a bonza brew in any language.

Last but not least, ESB, and that is my quota for tonight, well I may slip another in, but a man has to eat, man can't live on beer alone.
