Don't normally go for these fancy cans but it had a quid off in M and S and I have been grafting round the outlaws all day.

2 beers from a local brewery that used to do only pretty out there wild fermentation beers. Now going more mainstream (fair enough, bet the sales are up) and these were both good. The mixed ferm was tasty but a bit tame compared to the old style Yonder.

Intrigued to know what a banana wine tastes like ?
Is it ripe banana taste or is the banana taste muted ?

It depends at what point in the ripening process you choose to use the banana. They are best used at the speckled stage in my opinion. My version tastes like cooked banana, as I steeped it on the hob (like you would a beer) to extract the amylase. Very strong taste. I used 2kg per gallon. I sliced mine in the skins, after heading and tailing them.

After six months it'd be better, but because I put some grape juice concentrate in it, it has more body so drinkable slightly earlier.

Think I will have a few guest ales tonight.

On the visit the the beer fridge I had to have a quick half of riwaka pale. If anyone as anything interesting, I am happy to swap. Looking to try some Belgian pale ales, Baltic porter or dunkelweizen. Drop me a message.

Now onto the first proper beer and it is lovely. DIPA from my verdant box. So smooth and hardly no bitterness. This is going to wash down some cheese and crackers.

Had this from Lidl before Xmas. Finally getting round to drinking.

Drygate can be hit or miss, with some if their supermarket beers being pretty poor. But a few years back I was in Glasgow for the Pro 14 final and we stopped off at the brewery for some food, beer and whiskey. The beers were really good.

This isn't bad, quite a bit going on but it works ok.

Not sure I would be brave enough to try to make it. Fair play you seem to know how to do it well as your wines all look beautiful. 👍
