It's my weekend, mrs is out so just me the beers and a can of M&S chunky steak with home baked bread to dip in the gravy. TIP: add 2 oxo cubes to give it a boost and a sprinkle of cayenne chilli pepper.

so started with a California steaming 🙂 - my joint fav 'light' beer with my wheat beers. only 6.3%

then this...

My son donated a can from his brewdog xmas calendar. I liked it so much I bought one of my own. It's not as sickly as some pastry stouts I've had. more of a half way house but better for it.

next up from 30/04/2019 is the last of my white cap triples...

turns out from my notes I primed it with pineapple juice. That explains the pineapple notes 🙂

Well strictly it isn’t mine but it is in my possession so I’m calling that a win for me 😉 I’m actually having a DIPA from @dan125 so you already know how good this is @Leon103.

The appearance is as you see, very bright, very juicy, beautifully carbonated.

The aroma isn’t particularly strong because this beer is chilled but I’m already getting a hint this beer is going to be flavoursome. I think maybe the closest I can describe is the smell of the hop bag you remove from the wort after the boil - intense hoppy fruity goodness. Gorgeous!

The flavour for me is pretty amazing. I’m sure every fruit ever grown is there in abundance but it’s probably orange that stands out for me accentuated by the bitterness, a real impression of orange zest. Considering this is a beer loaded with hops it’s really smooth and juicy, almost no hop burn at all. What spicy hoppy heat is there again accentuates the zesty orange. The cap on the bottle says DIPA 7.9 so I’m assuming this is 7.9% but there’s no hint of alcohol. There’s also no hint of oxidation or any other off flavours.

This is a beer I would happily pay £6 a pint (the price of a Fullers Vintage) but I suspect Dan would be making a loss at that price given all the hops! 😂

Dan, this is a brilliant beer. Thanks so much for sending me a bottle. Please pop round with another dozen!

Great review. Brilliant beer. That colour 😍

Sadly my memories of the beer are spoilt by the horrendous night I experienced afterwards.

Yes I remember, you had a bad reaction to your vaccine. I’ve heard a few people had the same, the worst I know of lasted for about three days. Mine is booked for the 17th. Fingers crossed I don’t get unwell but I don’t care given the protection I’ll get.

That looks lovely 😍

The Hazy Jane arrived Tuesday morning of 8am!

Much too early to start drinking it, but as an experiment to see if I liked it ....

... and at Wednesday evening, I'm five cans down having made the "Executive Decision" that it tastes just as I expected it to taste - really "grapefruity" and perfect for any time of the day!
