This is a review of @pilgrimhudd treacle ale 7.8%.
It's well carbonated and pours with slight fizz. It's a deep dark red. Head fades
Aroma is lovely sweet malt slightly earthy/floral. Treacle is in the back ground but not dominant.
Taste again is lovely sweet malt, bitterness is high but It suits the sweetness. Not getting much alcohol surprising. Nice blend of flavours from the malt hops and treacle.
Over all I really enjoyed trying this beer. Not sure what style it falls into but It would do me on a winter's night in front of the fire. Thank you for sharing 🍻🍻

Glad you enjoyed it! Will definitely be doing this one again, like you, not sure what style it falls into a winter warmer sounds right. athumb..

Down in west country after dropping my daughter back at uni in Falmouth.Couldn't get hold of any Verdent produce but enjoyed this IPA is from a small Totnes brewery.

These... double disclaimer: The coconut is Mrs DOj - although its amazing it's under 4% so I don't play.
disclaimer 2 - I immediately fill empty bottles with water to make them easier to clean when I wake up on the sofa/floor at 3 a.m. wondering where the hell I am.
theres my out of the light (dunkel) and orange abbot in this session.

The omega blond sour is amazing, has a lovely burnt flavour to the sourness (not rubbery or bad) almost like well done but not burnt toast.

More of my Kolsch a like tonight. Last night, I thought it was clearing a bit. It isn't.

Basically, yesterday I noticed the power to my garage had tripped ( as I haven't been drinking in the week, this could have been anytime since Sunday night) and although I got the power on about midday, the kegs were still about 11/12° at drinkies time.

Tonight, they are at 9°, and the Kolsch is uber cloudy again so I'm pretty convinced it's a chill haze .

Taste is good.

I found about 15 bottles of Wilko Cerveza whilst rooting around the garage late this afternoon which I brewed in early May this year. Thought they had all been drunk, but no, still a few knocking about. So I put 4 x 500ml flip tops in the fridge and nailed them this evening. What a pleasant drink! clear as a bell and very moreish. Now moved on to the Shepherd Neame 1698 Kentish Strong Ale bottle conditioned, 6.5%. After my 4th that will be it for tonight!..........
Tomorrow 's another day.

Is verdant stuff like gold dust. Nice to have a business where demand is higher than supply. Any time I went on the online shop everything is sold out.
The brewery shop was closed for weekend, I tried Majestic wine store and a couple of local supermarkets but no luck.
Sainsburys was my best bet but I saw the queue to get in and thought sod that.
The last time I drank their brew was at their bar in town.

I get a lot of verdant beers but you really need to sign up to the mailing list and be on the ball when it goes up for sale, it's usually Tuesdays and Fridays at the minute. Also they have a seafood bar in Falmouth that always has stock.... looking to move down there myself early next year

I had that last night IMG_20200725_182107781.jpg
Mango IPA, never had anything like it. A friend made it. Not for me it was like a smoothie

The mango was too dominant, he had a ***** load of hops in it as well.
500g azacca, 250 g of El Dorado and 250g Amarillo. They were total lost.
Aaaah that's a shame, probably be great next time round then, what abv% is it?
