I used H Blanc in a lager I got hopelessly wrong and fermented with California Common. So while there is a hint of the grapes and peach it is drowned out by esters/diacetyl. I'm hoping it will improve with time.A pint (ok, several pints) of my magical 'will not clear' Kolsch. It's nice, the Hallertau Blanc hops are ok but I think they would be better partnered with another hop. They just seem a bit one dimensional. I'm thinking they could shine replacing Saaz in a historical Saaz / British hop combo recipe. Am messing about on brewfather as I type.

Great clarity too...The elderflower champagne getting cracked open today.
Hi Rod the sea view is very similar but this is the three horse shoes near BasingstokeHi Fuzzy is that the sea view
Completely agree with that. It's like a nice smooth bitterness with Nobel hop notes; which is odd because it's a child of cascade. I don't detect much gooseberry or fruit at all, sometimes I kind of get a hint of the blanc wine aroma but only a little. I think it may have a role replacing Saaz in some of my historical English recipes, but I won't use it as a single hop again. It seems to have a smooth bitterness.

Cool mate you not live far then?I had a few beers in the sea view many moons ago
I had one of those earlier. Really enjoyed it, lots of piney goodness and bitternessThe last of my Duration beers - this 6.7% west coast ipa.
Think I've saved the best till last - piney with a strong resinous bitterness. Lovely
