To make it a hat trick of guest HBs from different brewers I'm now having this salted caramel chocolate porter from @Fuzzy Growler
It's got a very inviting roasty chocolate aroma and is caramelly sweet in the flavour
Very cleanly fermented for 6.8%
A little bitterness to balance.
Really enjoying this - something I'm very unlikely to brew myself but great to have a pint to try. Thanks for sending :hat:

Yeah it is a bit sweet... what was the FG?
And I agree that a little less sweetness would make it a real winner, but I also expected a bit of sweetness in a caramel choc porter and wouldn't want it too dry.

The FG finished quite high @ 1.030
(I feel a lesson coming on) 🤣

Wow. The OG must have been massive ?
What did you use for the salted caramel and chocolate?
It could well have finished that high if there were lots of unfermentables

1.082 yeah I used chocolate powder so guessing they'll be lots of unfermentables

Oh my.... This is something totally different and special, it pours thick almost like melted chocolate, it tastes like chocolate, it's so rich but silky smooth, it's like drinking that soft center inside a Chocolate truffle, no sign of the 11% abvView attachment 28831
That sounds right up my street!
