I did have intentions of making serious headway into my one and only keg of mead, but got half a glass and a lot of gas...empty, hmph!

Then I decided to have the second of two 2 litre bottles of mead I'd forgotten about (for a couple of years according to the labels!) that I found while rummaging in my shed, but it had gone south, like, to the point where it tasted like radiator water.

So, as a last ditch attempt for some meady goodness, I went a rummaging in the shed again and found a dozen bottles of spiced mead that I also had no idea about...I really should have a clear out...but it's pretty good, a little heavy on the cloves and rather sweeter than I care for nowadays but otherwise it's aged very nicely!

Pretty happy with this. Was trying to mimic my favourite domestic IPA (9 white deer Stag IPA) just going off the hop list description on untapped. Pretty much has the aroma but I've a bit of tweaking to do.

Happy Friday good people, back home now from Norfolk had a great time at wild duck holiday camp set in a small forest jacko Russell enjoyed it, off again in 10 days to Skeg Vegas to a friends van, this was kegged 10 days ago and no were near clear but it’s very drinkable, just pilsner malt and EKG

Merlot from Chile, very nice indeed, but doesn't have the body or toothsome zing of Lateral...
