hi all i'v been trying to get a detailed water report from southern water as i live in lewes (near brighton) i have managed to get most of the information i need of there site to fill in the water calculator form on here but still need Magnesium (Mg),Carbonate (CO3),Alkalinity as HCO3 and Alkalinity as CaCO3 does any members have these i could have please, paul

For alkalinity you are better buying a salifert test kit, only around £6, and testing on a regular basis.

+1 to what dennisking says.
The alkalinity is important to get right so should be measured for each batch and treated accordingly.
The others apart from Mg are a factor of alkalinity.

You only need one of Carbonate (CO3),Alkalinity as HCO3 and Alkalinity as CaCO3. The last is measured by the Salifert kit. It's worth doing every time you brew. Mine has fallen from 74ppm to 22ppm since September. I'm guessing this is a seasonal change and it will go back up in the spring.

i'v looked on ebay for the kit but have found to alkaline kits any one got a pic :D or a link please o and thanks guys made mead today
