Water in Newton-Le-Willows

Hi All
Does anyone now what the water profile is for Newton-Le-willows in the metropolitan borough of St Helens, in the north west, i.e. soft/hard etc? I'm moving into the area and I brew all grain and I'm after the heads up on what to expect from the local tap water, in terms of how it will impact the mash pH. I'm hoping that I don't have to delve too deeply into water chemistry to compensate for any issues with the local water.

Hard water, bugger, I was hoping it wasn't,t gonna be the case. What do you do too deal with it. I'm assuming the stouts and other dark beers are not that much of a problem, but do you filter the water or something?

Not moved to Newton le Willows yet, don't know the area very well, never occured to me I was still in Merseyside

I used Tesco value water 17p for 2l and its soft.

I posted the analysis it's no the forum some ware.

Thanks man, I suppose at 17p per bottle can't complain. I think I defo need to do a lot more reading in the subject, even the water report doesn't make that much sense to me at the moment.
Going off topic for a second, do you have a local homebrew shop or do you buy all your supplies on line. I've been checking out the website that have links on this forum and they seem good, but I do miss the ability to go my local homebrew shop to pick up all my supplies.

There is a good HB shop in St Helens, The Wine Loft it's under 4 miles away, then there is one in Wigan and another in Runcorn.

So there are a few about but you need to travel to get to them.
