Water butt tap

Hi all not been here for a while. Ok ive bought a b and q water butt tap to fit to my fermentation bin. I dont know if its food grade plastic or will it matter? Any ideas? Thanks Matt

Iv noticed the similarity but didn't realise there was a price difference. The symbol for food safe is a glass and a fork if it doesn't have this I wouldn't take the risk myself, it's all about the transfer of toxic chemicals used in the plastic to the food (drink) product. Hope this helps.

Agree with above, for the sake of a few quid, I wouldn't risk spoiling £20/£30 worth of beer, or worse. I got this one:-

Although you could probably find it cheaper in your local home brew shop.
