Vintners Reserve White Zinfandel

I really did not like this rose wine, it was very sweet and fruity. It was synthetic tasting like a soft drink not like the modified fruitiness that wine usually has. There is a Flavour Pack that you add at the same time as the sorbate, it is a smaller bag of the same grape juice.

Im not really a fan of really sweet wines either. was that wine fully fermented out though and had some sugars left in it maybe??

The Flavour Pack seemed to be a small version of the main bag which no doubt contained grape juice, sugar, tannin, fruit acids and so on. The effect of the sorbate is to stop the fermentation so you end up with a mixture of normal wine, sugar and grape juice. It would appeal to some people but probably not to a wine lover.
