Are there any sorts of British ales that US-05 would not be well suited to and why?

I'm thinking flavour profile rather than alcohol content.

that's what I've used it for previously - is it any good to bring out maltiness? I assume not... Which dry yeast would be the one to use for malty brews?

I wouldn't use US-05 for any British style beer, it attenuates too much and leaves a lower gravity beer tasting watery.

I think Nottingham is a good choice for US style beers, hoppy pale ales. For a British ale I would use a liquid culture.
