Uneven carbonation

I bottled some Geordie winter warmer some weeks back. Opened a few at the weekend and some were gushers, some not. I did use the boiled water and cane sugar in the FV after cooling method. Previously, it's been fine. Any ideas what's going on?
 
Were the ones that weren't gushsers carbonated to the level you'd expect, or under-carbonated?

Without some help it'll take a sugar solution a while to diffuse through the beer. If you just poured it in one spot it'll basically sink like arctic water does and the last bottles will have tons of sugar compared to the first.

And there really is no need to let it cool down.
 
While I haven't found it necessary to ever stir the priming solution in the bucket, I hardly think it would be a major issue if you just swirled it without splashing to mix in the solution.
As has been said before, add the mixture to the bucket, place the siphon tube along the bottling bucket wall and then begin the siphon. This stirs the solution properly.
Edit: Apologies as you're not using a bottling bucket. As was mentioned, I believe just combining well seems the most likely solution. You're careful to not disturb the trub? Maybe that contributed to the situation.

My stout was racked to a clean FV two days ago, brewar's sugar bulk mixed in thoroughly, then immediately bottled into pet bottles and stacked in the warm. I can squeeze the bottles to check the pressures - they are all creating some pressure, but they are variable.
 
As a rule I don't generally use PET bottles. I got one that wasn't carbonated at all. I think I will swirl it next time. Although I am about to go buy a couple more kegs from B2B so I may end up throwing the bottles out altogther ;)
 
Are your bottles all the same or a mix of swing tops and a variety of bottles with different collars? Some bottles seem to take a cap really well. Others look like they haven't got the same level of crimping (when using a hand capper).

I always thought it was those bottles that would perhaps let some co2 out. Which is why I swapped them all out for Grolsch swing tops. However the odd one would still be flat. But this was probably due to a speck of detritus on the rubber seal. A 1/2 tsp of sugar and a week later, it was carbed.
 
My bottles are store recycled ie hobgoblin empties etc, my capper is fine, both of them. I just have not had such a mixed bag of carbonation before. Advice has been taken for when I am allowed back home to my rented flat ><

If you are saying gushers meaning as soon as the top was off the bottle just about emptied then as mentioned by AA you could have infected bottles.
