Biden has taken the lead in Pennsylvania

Even though we were all well-informed that due to the strong, Democratic absentee voting, some states could show up Red on and shortly after the election. I knew of this possibility but thought Pennsylvania was a lost cause. You should have heard me bashing Pennsylvania early yesterday and the day before. I was dropping f-bombs every third word for ten minutes (I don't swear a lot).
The general worry was that Toddler In Chief was going to declare victory well before the votes were counted but the media didn't budge (neither did FOX--they're not actual news but people still watch and listen to them).

It's weird, on election night Trump was down as having a 99% chance of winning Georgia by the bookies who don't usually get it THAT wrong, now it's flipped and Biden is going to win Georgia...........

Trump will not concede. Even after the court cases have found against him he will always maintain he was right, that's the way he is.

Though part of me wonders how long it will be for a final result (what with all the demands for recounts etc.) as can’t see Trump conceding,

I should imagine that sotto voce approaches have already been made, along the lines of 'offer me an amnesty, and I'll shut up and go quietly'. I hope that such entreaties are ignored.

Oh come ON... this is how cheap South American dictators operate, not credible leaders. At this point all the votes have been cast; there is nothing to be lost by a little dignified restraint. Unless you're a lawyer with an eye to gouging as much money from your client's pockets as possible on wild goose chase litigation, natch.

Keeping in mind that he is a full-blow narcissist (a quality of a psychopath), how will he ever believe he loses at anything? A applicable example of this (there are legion) was when the rows of defective slot machines at one of his casinos broke down, he spun it to say they were played so much that they broke.
The lawsuits are coming. Even prior to Election Day, the GOP lawyers were piling up the lawsuits by the thousands (Did you ever see a Democratic Republic so interested in seeing its citizens NOT vote?).
The slamming through of a Supreme Court justice to protect 45* is still a one-trick pony that he's been using (the Senate majority leader, McConnell, has other fish to fry on this but it aligns with 45*'s intentions).
He got Barr into the Department of Justice to protect him.
He got Mnuchin to head the Treasury to protect him from releasing his taxes.
Ironically, 45* ignores/interferes/stone walls/litigates all legal requests from duly authorized government bodies to find out the truth yet expects everyone else to listen and abide by legal authority.

45* is notorious for not paying his debts to contractors, so I don't see why he'd all of a sudden be paying the lawyers. 45* is broke, on paper. He has $900M due over the next few years and he relies on the service industry which is in the toilet. He is trying to sell the hotel in Washington, DC, if I'm not mistaken.

If you've ever followed The Hill comment section (crude), the Washington Post comments (less crude), there are some really good one-liners, some I wish I'd written down.

The US president has trampled decency into the ground. Since he's a psychopath, he doesn't care what effect this has had on the country he was supposed to protect or the world, for that matter.
We'll rebound, could take years or a decade. The voting base here, now and in the future is not headed toward strict conservatism.

From the respectful perspective of an outsider, one would have to say that it's concerning to see how many people still want to retain the incumbent as their leader and representative on the world stage. Is this because of distrust in the challenger? If so, it seems peculiar that the opposition did not manage to identify a more appealing candidate.

I hate to burst your bubble, David, but nearly *all* successful politicians display psychopathic tendencies. That is one of the reasons they are so frequently found to be not living up to the rules and standards expect others to follow. Because, as psychopaths, they genuinely don't believe that those rules should apply to themselves, only others.

Live in hope unfortunately on this election part of me fears the comment from a Biden spokesman is going to come true.
