Hi guys, I currently have two Coopers Stout tweaks in my FV's which have both been fermenting for two weeks now. Over the last two days the gravity reading of both has been stable at 1.018. I'm quite new to the brewing game but this seems a little high to me, am I right in thinking this? Also could the high stable gravity be due to the amount of fermentables I added? The water in one of the airlocks is almost level so I'm assuming fermentation is almost finished, whereas the other has calmed down significantly. The recipes I used are as follows.
1.7kg Coopers Irish Stout
1.5kg Dark LME
20g Fuggles, 1 Litre Hop Infusion
Kit Yeast and Mangrove Jacks British Ale Yeast
Brewed to 21 Litres
O.G 1.058
1.7kg Coopers Stout
1.5 kg Dark LME
500g Muscovado Sugar
Kit Yeast and Mangrove Jacks British Ale Yeast
Brewed to 20 Litres
O.G 1.066
Thanks in advance
