In July 2018 the 11th a Wednesday as I recall Dr Graham Riding performed open aortic abdominal aneurysm surgery on me and saved my life along with a host of other people, I arrived at 7-30am the last thing I remember is Moiz the anethatist saying I will give you my gin and tonic time was 09-30am next it was 6-10pm, to cut a long storey short I went to the doctors with a cough Had a load of tests finishing with a ct scan which my gp doctor Jay short for Jayacumar she insisted I had this scan (boy am I glad) this is known as the silent killer no symtoms no pain and is usually found while looking for something else it is hereditary and will kill you if not found, both my kids will be tested at 60, Royal Preston hospital has a team of 19 vascular sergeons who cover most of the northwest of England the treatment I got there was second to none they even brought a tv into icu so we could watch England play in the world cup I don't remember much of that being croggy, I firmly believe the people of this great country of ours will never let the nhs fall into privat hands, it is the thing I would take to the streets in protest, I agree there are a lot of people who use it who don,t need to people who cant get a doctors appointment because they have a cold rock up at a&e just tell em to man up and kick em out, on privatisation Macmillon tried Heath tried and Thachter all failed its ours we pay for it they will never take it away, I am 66 now I have been in hospital 4 times tonsils which every kid my age had removed, ear operation, I was run over by a car in 1958 6 weeks in hospital, and the big one, if anyone has a family history of aneurysm get tested at 60 these can take 25 years to grow mine was 5.9cm operation time is 5.0cm
Don’t mention the milk snatcher, ive had six Punk IPA’s and I’m enjoying myself
Seriously, glad you got sorted mate.

Did you have any out of pocket expenses?
Although it may seem that you have a cumbersome health system you definitely have the best.
An article I recently read was Australia had overtaken America in out of pocket expenses, Australia 85% America 65% UK 15% . A surgeon will not operate without money up front, a guy was recently interviewed on TV a life saving operation was going to cost him $10,000 AU.He told the surgeon he would go public (free) the surgeon replied by the time he got to the top of the waiting list he would be dead. Ended up having to borrow the money from his brother.
I have private health for our family but there are still out of pocket expenses.

Why are you arguing from the particular to the general?

We all know that the curses of longevity & entitlement and the insanity of "freedom of movement" are what have put pressure on all our services.

No none whatsoever, Travel for visits and carpark fees, no insurance involved from doctor to operation all on our great nhs, we do pay national insurance on money earned ie wages, if self employed you buy an ni stamp which goes toward your health and pension when you retire, the more earn the more you pay which pays for those less fortunate than you so everyone gets looked after, the nhs is the envy of the world, private is good as long as you can work and pay for it, a guy I know who lived in America for a good few years told its a great to live if you can work and don't get sick

she really didn't get how unpopular her "Cancel Brexit" policy was
Cancelling Brexit was not unpopular. No-one with an IQ which reaches double figures and with an understanding of the world and the crisis which **** sapiens has pushed our planetary biosphere into could possibly be in favour of the UK separating from the EU unless it were for purely selfish personal reasons, in which case a brick wall and machine gun is the best cure. Brexit will be, in the long term, a major disaster for the human race as a whole.
Unfortunately the human race needs a dominant cooperative gene to survive, but the dominant selfish gene will rule. We (members of this forum) will all be dead before the true totality of the disaster caused by this election, not only to the UK but to the human race as a whole, becomes apparent.
Looking on the bright side, however, when we (**** sapiens) are out of the way a few centuries from now, the planetary biosphere will be able to breathe a sigh of relief, think to itself something along the lines of “thank god they have gone”, and set evolution to work on less ambitious projects.

It would appear a huge majority of voters have a single figure IQ as they chose leave, we have had years of remainers telling leavers they didn't know what they were voting for time to let it go!

I would like to know why Brexit is a long term major disaster to the human race.

Anti Johnson protesters take to the streets, Defy Tory Rule, strike, march, occupy, how small is their IQ!

One comment on the video -

You could not make it up" calling TORY'S FASCISTS " and they are the ones that cannot respect a democratic vote 24hrs ago GET REAL YOU CLOWNS.

I would like to know how he came up with - leavers voted leave for purely selfish reasons. :tinhat:
I did invest in the GBP when the levels were low but I have no vote, common sense not IQ says the GBP will rally on the back of the election and the improved bargaining power that Boris has now got.
I predict that investment money will start to pour into the British economy, should J.C have got into power then unfortunately the invest money would go to other climes.

I explained this in a post several months ago. CTea decided that he did not like it, and removed it.

I do not remove posts because i don't like them and resent the accusation but I do remove them if they break the rules so I assume in this instance you posted about brexit when you knew its discussion had been banned.

When I cancelled the brexit ban (in this thread) I asked members to keep the discussion civil I don't think calling members who voted leave thick is being civil so that part of the above post has been removed.

I for one am sick of hearing that leave voters didn't know what they were doing and as we are now leaving there is no point in repeating it.

I also find this constant speculation by remainers that it's all doom and gloom from here on in irritating as it is just that let's wait and see and then if things go wrong you can wear your "I told you so" T shirt and gloat here!
