All weighed out and ready for 60L of this baby tomorrow :

Getting half the IBU from the 90 mins and half from the 15 mins.

90 min mash (66)
90 min boil
Target OG 1.042 Target IBU ~30

11600.00 gm Pale Malt (2 Row) UK (3.0 SRM) Grain 97.48 %
300.00 gm Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (60.0 SRM) Grain 2.52 %
40.00 gm First Gold [8.00 %] (90 min) (First Wort Hop) Hops 15.0 IBU
90.00 gm First Gold [8.00 %] (15 min) Hops 15.8 IBU
75.00 gm First Gold [8.00 %] (0 min) (Aroma Hop-Steep) Hops -

The plan is to get 20L into 3x FV's keg 2 and bottle 1.

Could be an early start this one, alarm set for 6am. Wish me luck!
 
Started heating the mash liquor at 06:05 :thumb:

Mash started at 07:00 - had some problems getting an even temperature across the mash, no matter how much stirring I've done it was hotter in some places than others, finally managed to get a kind of even 65.5c so the lid is on and it's all wrapped up doing it's thing :cool:
 
Just started to heat the wort up for the boil.

I have 77L @1.044 in the boiler, sounds like i'll be over on the gravity :hmm:

Edit : Forgot to mention that I stopped sparging at 1.020 with 50L collected, added 27L of cooled boiled water. this SG seems very high so I just checked the notes from when we weighed out last night, and they are spot on :hmm:
 
Right then..

I started with 77L pre boil and ended up with 68L post boil so lost 9L over 1.5hrs (11.5%)

The wort in the boiler is reading at 1.050 :hmm:
