I have to announce with great Sadness to all of "The 2011 Spring Thing" participants the sudden death of that 350 year old English Oak tree Unclepumble was hugging at 4.00am, it took a nasty turn for the worse during the night and died, rumour as it there'd been a massive overdose of beer/chilli/chicken/burger fertilizer around the base, apparently the root system was so badly damaged it was unable to recover.....
The forestry commission are about to launch an investigation as to how this poisoning could have happened in such a beautiful part of the country and terrorist activity as also not been ruled out ;)
