Priming a corny keg - temperature

By way of a change I was thinking of priming my bitter by adding sugar to the keg. I usually cold crash, keg, and transfer the keg straight to the fridge. My question is; will the yeast get to work at no more than 8°, or should I stand the keg at ambient temperature for a while? Thanks.
