Already insurance companys are worming their way out, ask the 4000 landlords who got a letter from Zurich who have informed them its not on list of notifieable illnesses and they are not covered for loss of earnings, insurance companys are in the make money game not the other way round

Having a difficult time ever feeling sorry for landlords tbh, doubly so when they will simply pass the cost on to tenants.

Some airlines have put their staff on eight weeks unpaid leave how the feck are they going to pay the bills if they have little or no savings.

The latest for anyone at home that has Coronavirus is do not take non steroid anti inflammatory drugs like aspirin or ibuprofen as they make it worse, if you need to take these for other conditions consult your doctor.

Stay at home as much as possible. Listen to the experts, ignore the morons (foreheads). We will get through coronavirus together.

Anti-inflammatories may aggravate Covid-19, France advises

French minister says patients should take paracetamol rather than ibuprofen or cortisone

French authorities have warned that widely used over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs may worsen the coronavirus.

The country’s health minister, Olivier Véran, who is a qualified doctor and neurologist, tweeted on Saturday: “The taking of anti-inflammatories [ibuprofen, cortisone … ] could be a factor in aggravating the infection. In case of fever, take paracetamol. If you are already taking anti-inflammatory drugs, ask your doctor’s advice.”

Health officials point out that anti-inflammatory drugs are known to be a risk for those with infectious illnesses because they tend to diminish the response of the body’s immune system.

The health ministry added that patients should choose paracetamol – which is known in the US by the generic name acetaminophen and commonly by the brand name Tylenol – because “it will reduce the fever without counterattacking the inflammation”.

Virgin Atlantic staff will be asked to take eight weeks of unpaid leave over the next three months, to help the airline cope during the coronavirus pandemic.

The airline is one of many to have brought in drastic measures to cope with a fall in passenger demand, due to global travel restrictions and the reluctance to travel due to the disease.

Bosses said the cost would be spread over six months' salary to "drastically reduce costs without job losses".

Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory so makes sense it wouldn't work. Paracetamol to control fever and if stuff gets very serious go to hospital!

This is the kind of thing where well-meaning people can muddy the waters. Actually what the French minister said was merely that ibuprofen _could_ exacerbate the progress of Covid19 disease - but he didn't actually say don't take it. But the press likes the simple message and ignores the nuance.

If you look what the pros are saying about this :

the short message is that yes, there is a concern that ibuprofen increases the amount of the virus's main receptor on human cells, but there is no evidence at all (so far) that that would lead to more intense disease. So in the absence of other considerations, paracetamol should probably be your first choice - but that comes with its own issues when used long-term (particularly affecting your liver). So don't sweat too much about using ibuprofen, especially as an occasional thing.

And the alleged incident with 4 Irish lads on ibuprofen getting Covid-19 is fake news according to this :https://www.thejournal.ie/ibuprofen-cuh-coronavirus-whatsapp-5047311-Mar2020/

Here in Spain burger king has closed all its restaurants and laid off 14,000 workers!!! That's the spirit hey!!

I think medical advice should be linked to the NHS or at least a recognised UK health authority. People should not change their medications before discussing with their GPs.

I think this bloke explains it well and i will not be taking ibuprofen if i am unlucky and get it but being a soft **** i would take paracetamol if it got bad. (watch from 5:50)
