So the way I read it I can drive to a park or beach and sunbath providing I keep 2 meters from a strangers but can't visit my kids and grandkids even if I keep the distance.

I think the days of police stopping drivers to check where they are going is now over, what's to stop you driving to the grandkids house on you way to the place you intend to take excersise and stay 2 meters away from them.

THing is whatever we do or however we ease lockdown however slow the infection rate will increase that is obvious to anyone so I cannot understand the ciritcal point on that, but it is how it is done and controlled.

Thought this was pretty good

I think this all going to go horribly wrong...
Around here (rural Somerset) it seems like the lockdown is already over. Roads have never been busier, loads of fat people out in gym kit, neighbours having friends round for drinks (and haircuts!).
People have already interpreted the headlines to fit in with what they want.
It seems to be the same everywhere 😐 In Bath, people are out and about as though it was a normal day.

It’s OK everyone. I think we have it all worked out....

And here is a list of todays idiots, how many don't get caught.-

Driver stopped at Junction 36 travelling from Edinburgh to Wigan to buy a puppy! The driver was issued a fine, however 10 minutes later they ignored the instruction to return back home and was issued a second fine before being escorted back up north.

Another 2 escorted from the county. One decided to do their shopping in Barrow rather than Morecambe, the other felt the need to have a drive to Cumbria from Wigan #StayHome

Two men from Preston have been "escorted" out of Cumbria by police after going for a drive during the Covid-19 lockdown. Cumbria Police said the men's excuse of going for "just a drive out" did not constitute an essential journey. https://bbc.in/2YN9Efu Photo: Cumbria Police

People have been caught unnecessarily driving hundreds of miles into Cumbria during lockdown. Some came from as far as London and Essex say
@CumbriaRoadsPol
. Reasons varied from people wanting 'a day out in the Lake District', visiting family and even buying a puppy.

Chorley not another one i hear you ask. Sadly yes, this family from Lancashire were away from home so were handed a fine and sent straight back #protectingcumbria #1807

Another fine, another wasted journey from Manchester #protectingcumbria #1807
Surely the fines would have best been charged by the distance caught away from home. Say anywhere more than X miles away from home and you get a fine £30. X+25 = £60 X+50 £75 - use google maps as the judge.

The bloke says the R figure is going to climb however they ease lockdown, I hope he has got that one wrong.

'Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said people should "use some common sense" and cannot visit others at their home.

The new rule is part of a 50-page guidance document to be published by the government later.'

Use common sense to see loved ones outdoors – Raab

Seems pretty clear to me. Looks like the gradual lifting of the lockdown will entail treating people like adults and the use of common sense. Obviously, this will give certain sections of the population a chance to play politics, buts that's between them and their conciseness - I suspect certain people will seek to make political capital from the deaths of people whatever the government do. Look forward to the document that lays it all out today.

I think thats inevitable it will. He is almost suggesting its niave to think otherwise, I think its just about keeping a steady maintaning of it at a steady controllable level for the foreseeable future.

One thing that was encouraging even if a slight opinion on his behalf that we are perhaps getting better at treating this.

I don't personally know the ITU COnsultant the video but I know a few people who do, they would vouch for him

I wouldn't mind easing lock down if:
- track and trace is implemented fully and working
- anyone who needs a test, can get one
- each work place can ensure safe working condition and get guidance how from the government

So far I can't see any of that. I think infection rate will go up again very soon.
I'm mostly sorry for people that cannot work from home and have to use public transport to go to work. For them is either stay safe and loose job or go to work and get potentially infected

According to Dominic Raabib I can visit them in a park but not with my wife at the same time.

Mixed messages again but I do think the government are taking their own advice and washing their hands........of any responsibility.

The rate of deaths attributable to Covid 19 has now dropped to approximately half of it's peak value in England, Northern Ireland and Wales, which is encouraging.

If the current lockdown rules are relaxed over the coming months then common sense is essential. Just because you are allowed for example, to visit relatives doesn't mean that you should do it, or that it is safe to do so. We all have to take reponsibility for our actions and their consequences.

They have been discussing this this morning on 5 live, a business may be able to keep workers apart but what about things like toilets, canteens etc.

They were also discussing schools a teacher said its ok having 10 kids distancing in a classroom that would normally take 20+ but again the toilets and corridors being less than 2 meters wide are a huge problem and there is no way round it.

He apologised for the mixed message see below highlighted in blue.

I think the message from last night below is straight forward you can meet other people as long as you keep th the 2m distancing rule.

The changes in guidelines will also allow two people from different households to meet in a park if they stay 2m (6ft) apart.

Asked about that advice on BBC Breakfast on Monday, Mr Raab said: "So we've said that as long as you go out of home, for the park, for exercise, whatever it may be, you can go with members of your own household.

"If you're out in the park and you're 2m apart... and use some common sense and you socially-distance, you can meet up with other people."

Asked if someone could meet more than two people at different times, for example their mother in the morning and father in the afternoon, Mr Raab said: "Outside in the outdoors, staying 2m apart, yes."

However, the UK government put out a clarification saying people can only meet one person outside at a time - not two people, such as both parents, at the same time.

It comes after Mr Raab incorrectly told the Today programme that someone could meet both their parents at the same time "if there's 2m apart".

Mr Raab was also pressed on whether people could meet others in a garden or driveway. "We are not moving to a stage where we say that households can mix inside the home," he said.

"So just to be absolutely clear, people cannot mix within the homes… and that advice is not changing."
