My local pub is doing a takeaway and delivery service for meals, **** and spirits. They are not offering pints. They also offer to deliver other groceries to those in need.

I think they should be allowed to sell their beer as long as it doesn't mean crowds hanging about and standing too close etc.

A good pub IS a local resource. They can get disposable cardboard boxes for selling draft beer - like milk cartons, or plastic growlers which are re-useable.

A disappointing day today with far too many people flouting covid regulations. "I'm just driving to pick up my sons girlfriend so she can stay the weekend," "I'm just driving my partner home to Birmingham so she can see her parents" are 2 excuses given today. Think people, think.

@CumbriaRoadsPol

First hours patrol today saw 12 vehicles from as far away as Manchester, Liverpool and Preston, all out for some Lake District fresh air. To those who are staying in, a massive sincere thank you, you're doing a great job.

Like the old couple two doors down from us. Had their son over (with his 3 kids and wife) as he was fitting their decking in their back garden Obviously a totally necessary trip! Being old the rules don’t apply to them! aheadbuttaheadbuttaheadbutt

The drug dealers down our street has decided parties in the back garden are the way forward, the police don't agree but it doesn't stop them.

I am sure most here will remember this this time it may not be a prank Tata steel want £500 million. 10x the government's limit. (see video below)

LABOUR’S shameless contempt for the British people was exposed yesterday by a flippant letter from an outgoing Cabinet minister admitting: “There is no money left.”
The grim message was left for his successor in the new coalition Government.
Handwritten by former Chief Secretary to the Treasury Liam Byrne and dated April 6, the day Gordon Brown announced the general election date, the note said: “Dear Chief Secretary, I’m afraid there is no money. Kind regards – and good luck! Liam.”

Boris Johnson's return to work on Monday after more than three weeks out of action will be a "boost for the country", his deputy has said.

The prime minister will resume full-time duties in Downing Street after a fortnight recovering from coronavirus.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who has been standing in for him during his absence, said he was "raring to go".

The PM spent a week in hospital, including three nights in intensive care, after being admitted on 5 April.

During his hospitalisation, he received regular oxygen treatment to help his breathing.

After he was discharged on 12 April, Mr Johnson suggested his condition "could have gone either way" and praised the staff at St Thomas Hospital in central London who looked after him.

He has not be doing any official government work during his convalescence at Chequers, on medical advice.

Germany are going to start their football season again they intend to test players and I assume games will be played behind closed doors, we now know you can have the virus for 5 days before it shows symptoms I think this is a bad idea as the premier league will follow as soon as it can.

Coronavirus: New Zealand claims no community cases as lockdown eases Coronavirus 'currently eliminated' in New Zealand

I am looking forward to the day Boris announces the same - With new cases in single figures for several days - one on Sunday - Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the virus was "currently" eliminated.

New Zealand says it has stopped community transmission of Covid-19, effectively eliminating the virus.

With new cases in single figures for several days - one on Sunday - Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the virus was "currently" eliminated.

But officials have warned against complacency, saying it does not mean a total end to new coronavirus cases.

The news comes hours before New Zealand is set to move out of its toughest level of social restrictions.

From Tuesday, some non-essential business, healthcare and education activity will be able to resume.

Most people will still be required to remain at home at all times and avoid all social interactions.
