Seagulls plotting terrifying revenge for lack of chips

Seagulls are meeting this week to decide how to wreak awful revenge on the nation for cutting off their supply of chips.

The violent birds are furious that chips have been missing from Britain since we all went into lockdown.

Now, they are meeting to plot revenge, including stealing small dogs from back gardens, swooping on men’s testicles and pooping on our cars.

A secret meeting is being held on Felixstowe beach on Friday to plan retribution for what seagulls claim is criminal negligence.

Seagull leader Steve Walshe, three, said: “If people think they can stop wandering around with chips for us to steal, they are more stupid than they look.

“We rule the country, we’re in charge of the beaches, they are OUR chips.

“We meet on Friday, and you will begin seeing the results of our terrifying revenge missions this weekend.

“Without giving too much away, you might want to lock up your small pets and don’t go sunbathing in the garden.

“It’s not too late to prevent all this – simply place 25 tonnes of chips in an unmarked bag on Aldeburgh beach before Thursday, midnight.

“Come alone and make sure you’re not followed.”

Chip shop owner Lorraine Fisher, 34, has had to close her business during the coronavirus lockdown.

She said: “The seagulls are furious. They’ve been banging on my door and leaving deathly messages on my phone.

“I won’t give in, though.”

My ex was telling me (shes band 7 sister nurse at Rugby St Cross) there are loads of staff at the hospital and not many patients compared to normal, the patients are in are really sick patients and COVID-19 patients A&E is a lot quieter with people with serious emergencies such as heart attacks or broken bones coming in and the covid19 is keeping the hypochondriacs at home! My mum or recently retired and said no way she would ever go back from coventry is hearing similar things from her ex colleagues there and that is a huge super hospital.

Does make you wonder whilst we focus on governments and NHS managmenet which is all very very valid how much of our NHS is wasted on people who are hypochondriacs

You've also got to factor in those people who go to A&E because they cant get a GP appointment for two weeks

It is the same though, My new GP is fantastic I cannot complain , but the old was was a phone lottery and most of the people sat in the waiting room probably do not need to be there everyt time their 4 year old gets a runny nose or they get a soar throat .. I know around here in Coventry it is really really badly abused

Many people attending A&E were seriously drunk - fights and slips and falls etc. With the nightclubs and pubs all closed there are not hundreds of people spilling onto the streets at 2am, all bevvied up and getting into fights. They will be drinking at home, hopefully in moderation!

I hardly every go to the doctor as I dont get sick, but the last time I phoned for an appointment, I phoned about 6pm and was given a choice of appointment times for the next morning. Compare this with my clients practices, they only release a few appointment (if any, depending on the practice) and the rest are phone at 8am on the day. By the time you get through they've all gone.
Your right, many people dont need to go to the GP. It's because it's free. If there was a small charge this would make people think twice about whether they really needed to go

Likewise I never need to go to GP but when I last had a problem it was a fastest finger first for an appointment in the next 7 days.. if you wre unlucky you had to try again the next day ridiculous or get a very cold receptionist tell you better luck next time.. my new one is now like yours, you ring up explain your brief issue and a doctor will call back and triage over the phone and then you can go from there with an appointment. It is totally different from practice to pracitce, mad isn't it.

People think GP's, practices and the NHS in general is just one homogenous lump but iirc GP's are technically self employed and just contract themselves out to the NHS and practices are not part of the NHS the way hospitals are they're really like small businesses. So they can be run different from one another

I fully expect it will go into June, however there becomes a tipping point I think and if it went on until setptember in FULL lockdown I think the tipping point about deaths long term related to corona would be more econimical than COVID19

Hmm.. its possible they may let a second wave occur and then re-lockdown into the flu season to manage capacity in NHS - almost herd immunity by stealth. If of course some restrictions are relaxed but social distancing stays in place then joe public can be blamed for not following social distancing. I have seen enough non distancing happening in the supermarkets. pub & restuarants will be the last to open. if you have to keep 2m away from other diners there probably isnt enought throughput to keep them viable. Or maybe you'd only have your table for 90 mins.
