Thanks for all your tips over the last few weeks.
After a first disappointing brew with tap water and added sugar, I went on to one with more DME and cheap bottled water.
What a difference! :P
I have only just taken it away from the warmth to a cool place and thought I would just have a cheeky taste.
It is already better tasting than the other and that one is 2 months old now.
I'm planning to go all grain after Christmas, am I going to be amazed at the step up in quality, as some people seem to say?

the simple answer is "just you wait!!"

i did a few kits, 1 partial mash and was lucky enough to get a really cheap AG set.

i was blown away at how much better even a simple AG was.

plus you then get to tinker around and make a beer to your liking. there are so many different ways to incorporate the same 4 things. Grain, water, hops and yeast.

good luck!

Thanks for the replies guys.
Just about given up on the first one, especially after trying this latest one.
I keep trying to convince myself that it is improving but the new one just blows it away for taste.
