I'd far rather have Beamish or Murphys here than Guinness, though they're hard to get outside of Munster especially the latter of the two. That said, I recall recently reading somewhere that Heineken have changed Beamish recently and completely ruined it.

I wish we still had Beamish in England !!

Does anybody know if FRGD has changed their recipe or do you think it's just a QT issue like brewdog sometime have that I've notice? The last 4-8cans have had less choc notes and possibly is more bitter now?

I've been on a hunt for other stouts porters Guinness draught alternatives etc and managed to get the following,

Black heart
FRGD
Belhaven Black
O'hara
Anspach and Hobday london black
Camden stout

Still trying to get hold of Beamish and Murphy's(heard a pub in town have it on draught so hopefully will sample that soonish)

Found a place doing FRGD on draught before Christmas and wasn't impressed, thought the can as good if not better, wasn't expecting that?
