Bore da boys !

My.six nations stout has been safely stored away in my pressure barrel for well over a month now. My question is, if I start drinking it now, how long will it last I'm the barrel without it going horrible ?

Thanks in advance !

If you keep it topped up with co2 should keep for a very long time.

Good news ! I can have a few for the French game then save it for a few weeks

Let me know how it tastes munkian. Might try a stout in the king keg next.

I 'modded' a pre bought kit - two cans of Cooper's stout, tin of black treacle, tin of golden syrup and a jug of black coffee short brewed to 20 litres.

Its rather strong but very nice, I can barely remember the Wales game

Black coffee you say? Like instant or filter powder or like a jug brewed with water? Never heard of adding coffee. How would ye go about that?

Try cold steeping coffee to add to your brew.

I added it in the regular way and was left with a taste of stale coffee much like the article above mentions.

Regarding maintaining pressure. If you don't dispense too much at one time you'll find that you may only need to re-pressurise once per fill.

I just replaced a liter of the hot water with a cafetiere of fresh ground coffee

Worked well, lovely aftertaste
