If you have the room go for 120l. I paid about £14. I store all my grains in it and a load of other brewing equipment. All sealed so no animal or kid can get to it
Beware of second-hand ones. They're used for bulk storage of foodstuffs in oil. I bought one a couple of years ago that had been used for macerating raw garlic in oil. I knew this when I bought it, but thought I could get rid of the smell. I've tried everything I could think of, but the smell persists. Even used it as a water butt when doing some concreting and that didn't get rid of it either. It's a shame, but I'm not yet ready to face an Imperial Garlic Stout. If you have the room go for 120l. Using a large thick bin liner might stop the garlic scent from penetrating your grainBeware of second-hand ones. They're used for bulk storage of foodstuffs in oil. Thanks, Skull. I might try putting 5kg in there for a couple of months- enough for a brew- and see what it comes out like. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If it's no good, I could always share it with our Transylvanian colleagues.Using a large thick bin liner might stop the garlic scent from penetrating your grain
